Summer Enrichment Program

Session I- Monday- Friday 7:45 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.

Broadway Workshop - July 13-24 ($100/$125)

This class will include singing and dancing.  Students will learn two songs and dance routines that go with them, and they will be performed on the last day of the class.  Students will spend a great deal of time on vocal technique and dance technique, specifically techniques that apply directly to broadway performing. Because we will be dancing everyday, students should dress appropriately.

Totally Wired: How to use the web to work faster, get organized, and make school more fun - July 6th – 31st  ($200/$250)

Students will be choosing one topic of interest them to help focus their work in the course (anything from fashion to fishing), and will be keeping daily (but very brief) journals about their classwork. Each day students will learn a new skill (or build upon a newly learned skill) and have a chance to apply that skill directly.  This enrichment course will teach students how to use free online web tools to:
    * Improve their organization and study skills
    * Express themselves creatively
    * Collaborate with peers and teachers
    * Create effective audio and visual presentations
    * Conduct effective research

Session II- Monday- Friday 10:00 am-12:00 pm
